An Australian accessories label inspired by the places we’d often like to be.

Mimmi was born on Australia’s east coast, the Gold Coast - established in 2021. A place defined by idyllic shore lines, sun-filled days (year round) and a slower way of living.

What started as a one woman project and inspired by her italian-australian background; she set out to create chic and timeless pieces that draw on slow summers, travel and a love of considered design. Mimmi reimagines the woven bag through distinctive proportions, colour and pattern; creating pieces that feel relaxed, playful and unmistakably mimmi.


OUR STORY

Founded by Emilia, mimmi began with a fascination for woven accessories and the idea of creating a bag that could be used every day, packed into a suitcase, taken to the beach and carried out to dinner.

What started with a considered collection of woven totes has evolved into a growing world of bags and accessories, each designed in Australia and developed through an ongoing process of sampling, refining and experimentation.

Rather than designing for a single season, mimmi creates pieces intended to return summer after summer.




THE MIMMI WEAVE

At the heart of Mimmi is our signature approach to colour and weave.

Our collections explore unexpected colour combinations, stripes, proportions and silhouettes, transforming a traditional handwoven technique into something distinctly contemporary.

Each new mimmi piece begins with an idea; from the dimensions of a handle to the width of a stripe, and is refined through sampling until it feels just right. Because our bags are woven by hand, subtle variations are part of their character. No two pieces are exactly alike.


MADE FOR EVERYWHERE

Mimmi bags are designed to be used.

Our ECO collection is lightweight, washable and water-resistant, making the pieces equally at home by the sea, in the city or folded inside a suitcase.

Our NATURA collection celebrates natural raffia and the beauty of traditional handcraft, with each piece individually woven in Madagascar.

Different materials, the same philosophy: thoughtful pieces that make everyday life feel a little more like summer.

Packaging

Standard Shipping: We ship all orders within Australia via Australia Post

Waste: in order to reduce waste, we create all totes in limited numbers. While some lines are designed to be released in only small numbers, our staples lines are produced on the basis of demand.

Boxes: our mailing boxes are made in Australia by VISY an FSC certified supplier, supporting healthy forests and protecting wildlife. Our box packaging is made from 100% FSC recycled cardboard, which can be recycled after use. 

Tape: we use 'Biogone' packing tape - a biodegradable  and recyclable tape. This tape will be completely eaten away by natural microorganisms after disposal to a landfill.

Mailers: our mailers are certified compostable (home and industrial) made from mostly plant-based materials such as PLA and a certified compostable material (PBAT)
